Community Board Local Discretionary Fund
A fund for projects within the community board's ward and to encourage non-profit making or charitable groups to develop and deliver services, facilities, amenities, or programmes for the benefit of their community.
Community Surveillance System Fund
$1,000
Supports the operation of community-owned surveillance systems, including annual maintenance costs.
Creative Communities Scheme
Aims to increase participation from the local community in the arts sector, support the diversity of local cultural traditions, and encourage young people to participate in local arts.
Natural Environments Fund
$5,000-$30,000
Promotes and assists with the protection, restoration, and enhancement of areas of significant biodiversity, indigenous vegetation, and/or significant habitats of indigenous fauna on private land in the District.
Pātea Centennial Bursary Fund
Provides funding for individuals from the Pātea Ward seeking to study part-time or full-time.
Rural Hall Grant
$40,000 annual fund allocated between all eligible applications
Assists rural hall committees with essential operating costs such as insurance, maintenance, and facility improvements.
Sport NZ Rural Travel Fund
Provides assistance for transport expenses for youth in the District to attend regular sports events outside of school time.
Tangata Whenua Liaison Fund
$3,000 to $10,000
Supports projects and initiatives that develop positive relationships between Tangata Whenua, the Council, and the people of South Taranaki, under the principles of partnership set out in Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
