To enable Nelson City Council to partner with the community on delivery of the Taonga Tuku Iho Heritage Strategy and the He Tātai Whetu Arts and Creativity Strategy. Support diverse communities and honour kaupapa Māori through arts and heritage projects.

The funder uses te reo Māori terminology and emphasises 'kanohi ki te kanohi' (face to face) engagement. Applications can be discussed in a face-to-face hui (meeting) with the Arts and Heritage Adviser.
