Applications should align with the Nelson Tasman Waste Management and Minimisation Plan and demonstrate how waste will be avoided or diverted from landfill. Incorporating Te Ao Māori values such as kaitiakitanga is encouraged.

Common mistakes to avoid

Applications that fail to provide adequate accountability information for previous funding applications, request funding for activities already completed, or seek funding for projects outside the Tasman district without a clear benefit to Tasman residents are likely to be rejected.
