What they care about

Whanau-centred initiatives that build on strengths and help achieve aspirations. Wave funding supports initiatives and programmes that benefit whanau and their hapori (community). Contact your regional commissioning agency: Rangitamiro (upper North Island), Mahutonga (lower North Island), Te Tauraki (South Island), or Tatou Collective (Pasifika).

What makes a strong application

Demonstrate whanau-centred approach that builds on strengths rather than addressing deficits. Show how the initiative empowers whanau to be self-determining. Apply through the relevant regional commissioning agency for your area. Wave funding rounds open once or twice per year.
