About All Too Human
Who we are
All Too Human Limited is a technology company based in Motueka, Te Tauihu. We build AI systems, blockchain and decentralised tools, custom platforms and self-hosted infrastructure for iwi and Māori organisations, community groups and not-for-profits, and small local businesses across Aotearoa.
We are proud members of Tech New Zealand (opens in a new tab), part of the community working to make technology benefit our people, our economy and our planet.
Why “All Too Human”
Our name is inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche's book Human, All Too Human. In it, Nietzsche looks at the things people hold up as lofty or untouchable and shows the very human needs and choices underneath them.
We see technology the same way. AI is not magic and it is not destiny. It is made by people, shaped by their choices, and carries their strengths and their flaws. That is why we keep people at the centre of everything we build, and why we think communities, not just a few large companies, should decide how it is used.
Our founder
Navtej Vincent Dhillon is an IT specialist and AI solutions architect with a qualification in electronics and telecommunications engineering. He spent more than eight years as an Information Analyst at Wakatū Incorporation, delivering data insights and improving the systems a large Māori organisation runs on.
That experience shapes how we work: technology has to fit the organisation, respect the people whose data it holds, and keep running long after the project ends.
What we believe
People first
Technology is only worth building if it gives people time back for the work that matters: whānau, customers and community. We design for the people who will use a system every day, not for a demo.
Your data stays yours
Where data lives decides who controls it. We can run AI and systems on infrastructure in New Zealand, including on hardware you own. For iwi and Māori organisations, we treat Māori data sovereignty as a design requirement, not an afterthought.
Open, decentralised, not locked in
We prefer open-source tools and we hand over what we build. Blockchain and decentralised networks let records and infrastructure belong to a community instead of a single company, so we use them where they genuinely help: verifiable records, community-owned registers and systems that keep working without a middleman.
We give back
Our AI Grant Writer and Kaitiaki Care Navigator are free for community groups and whānau. They use the same technology we build for clients, pointed at problems that matter to everyone.
Honest about the change ahead
AI is going to change how work gets done and who benefits from it. We think the gains from that shift should be shared with communities, not concentrated in a few large companies. That is why we build tools people own, favour open and decentralised technology, and keep asking what this means for jobs and livelihoods here.
