Common Questions

Can't Copilot in Excel do this?

Copilot analyses the spreadsheet you open, when you open it. It does not join Xero to your POS and job system, watch your margins week after week, or email you when a trend turns. The value is in the connected, always-on view of the whole business, which is exactly what a one-document assistant cannot give you.

Is my financial data safe?

Connections are read-only, credentials stay in accounts you own, and we use commercial AI services that do not train on your data. We are a New Zealand company and will put our privacy and security commitments in writing.

How do I know the answers are right?

Every answer shows the figures it was built from, and the first month includes a verification period where we check outputs against your known numbers. If the underlying data is unreliable, we tell you that too, because fixing it is half the value.

My data is a mess. Is that a problem?

It is normal. Almost every SME's data is messier than they would like, and cleanup is built into the setup. Messy sources mostly affect setup cost, not feasibility.

How is this different from the reports in Xero?

Xero reports on what is inside Xero, in accounting language. This combines Xero with your sales, jobs, and operational data, and answers in the language you actually think in: jobs, customers, sites, and products rather than account codes.
